기름 장사는 성사되면 커다란 육체적 수고없이 커다란 대가를 받을 수 있어서 선호되는 사업입니다. 

그러나 자금력, 경험, 그리고 네트워크가 합쳐져야 하는 사업입니다. 많은 사람들이 남의 얘기를 듣고 러시아산 M100, D2, JP-54 등의 거래에 뛰어드는 것을 많이 목격했습니다. 주요 소비시장은 중국에 판매하는 것 입니다. 

그러나 바이어가 있고 셀러가 있어서 그들의 기본 요구조건 만 맞추면 되는 일반 상거래와 다른 부분이 많습니다. 경험이 부족한 중개상들은 바이어를 찾고 셀러를 찾고 좋아하나 딜의 진행 중에 깨지는 것을 수없이 목격하였습니다. 

셀러들은 바이어들이 자금이 있어서 확실하게 지불하는지 궁금하고, 바이어는 셀러가 확실히 물량을 확보하고 계약대로 전달할 수 있는지 궁금해 합니다. 그러다 보니 지불, 배달, 검사 조건 등이 서로 다를 수 있습니다. 

원자재 중개에서 Procedure를 사소히 여기는 경향이 있는데 사전에 쌍방의 요구하는 Procedure를 검증하는 작업이 필요합니다. 아래의 내용은 A기업이 진행했던 석유 무역의 Procedure 입니다. 참고하십시요. 이러한 절차에 조그만 하자가 있어도 딜은 깨지기 쉽습니다. 굉장히 복잡한 업무가 많습니다.
